Bio: 

Ramon Zabriskie is a Professor at Brigham Young University in the Marriot School of Management where he is currently the Therapeutic Recreation Program Coordinator.

His primary line of research focuses on family leisure and family wellness and how different types of family leisure involvement and satisfaction relate to aspects of family functioning, communication, and satisfaction with family life.

His work has been published in a variety of books and academic journals including the Journal of Leisure Research, Leisure Sciences, Therapeutic Recreation Journal, Family Relations, Fathering, Adoption Quarterly, and Marriage & Family Review.

Dr. Zabriskie has been honored with numerous teaching and scholarly awards and has served the profession in capacities including the American Therapeutic Recreation Association Board of Directors, Utah Recreation Therapy Association Board of Directors, Utah Recreational Therapy Licensure Board, as a guest editor or associate editor for several journals, and is currently serving on the Board of Directors for The Academy of Leisure Sciences.

He is also a Fellow in the National Academy of Recreation Therapists. If you ask him, however, he is simply a husband, father, grandfather, and fly fisherman.
